To the Editor:
RE: The commentary written by Lt. Col. J. Young Mayberry, published in the Jan. 20 edition.
I want to thank you for writing this article about respect. I feel some of our youth and adults haven’t been taught respect for our country and other citizens.
I am 76 years old. My father was in the first world war and was commander of the American Legions in Kennewick, Wash., during the second world war. When I was 8-years -old, the President of the United States came through our area on a train stopping 50 miles away from Kennewick.
