Submit an obituary
Delivery
• Obituaries and photos can be dropped off at 102 Fab Ave. in Sierra Vista or 12 Main St. in Bisbee.
• Obituaries can be e-mailed to obituary@svherald.com. If you are sending an e-mail, please call us to verify we’ve received it.
• Obituaries can be faxed to (520) 459-0120. If you are sending a fax, please call us to verify we’ve received it.
• The copy given to the Herald/Review should be the final text of the obituary.

Deadlines
• The deadline for dropping off an obituary and photo to run in Tuesday through Saturday newspapers is 5 p.m. the day before it runs. If you cannot meet this deadline, please contact the Herald/Review as soon as possible.
• The deadline for submitting an obit and photo at our Bisbee or Sierra Vista offices for Sunday’s or Monday’s edition is 4 p.m. on Friday. If the obit is being sent via e-mail or fax, the deadline is 3 p.m. on Saturday. If you are sending an e-mail or fax, please call us to verify we’ve received it.
Photos
• Please do not fax photos. The quality is too poor to reproduce.
• Photos dropped off at our office can be scanned. Please specify how you would like the photo returned.
• E-mailed photos should be at least 2 inches wide and 300 dpi. jpeg format is preferred.
• Please deliver the obit and photo together. If this is not possible, please call and let us know in advance so we make sure both go in.
Billing
These are ONE-DAY prices, including tax. If running multiple days, tax has to be recalculated.

• Please provide a phone number where you can be contacted for billing purposes.
• We do not bill private parties. Obituaries not submitted by a funeral home must be paid in advance by check, cash or credit card.

Corrections
• Obits will run again at no charge if an error is made, whether or not the error is ours.
Other information
• Please specify when you want the obituary to run. Obits received without run dates will be printed in the next day’s paper.
• Please provide contact information in case we have questions on content.
Death notices
• The Herald/Review will run death notices for no charge.
• Only the deceased’s name, place of residence, date of death and service information will be listed.
• If a relative who lives in the area wishes to submit a death notice for someone who does not live in the area, the name of the relative and place of residence will be included to localize the death notice.
• Death notices submitted with more information than is allowed will be cut to fit the above parameters. If the customer wishes to include information above and beyond these parameters, the death notice will be classified as an obituary, and the customer will be charged accordingly.
